The Tennessee Counseling Association announces its open call for presentation proposals for the 68th Annual  Tennessee Counseling Association Conference, November 13-16th, at Embassy Suites: Cool Springs in Franklin, Tennessee. Join us as we explore our theme: Empower Within, Advocate Beyond! Don’t miss out!

Proposal Submissions:

To submit a proposal, complete the following form here, by August 15, 2025.

The TCA proposal committee will review each submission and send disposition emails by the end of September.

2025 Call for Proposals

The Tennessee Counseling Association is thrilled to announce the opening of our Call for Proposals for the much-anticipated Annual Conference! We invite passionate professionals, educators, researchers, and students in the field of counseling to submit their proposals and be a part of this enriching event.

Theme: Empower Within, Advocate Beyond!

Date: November 13 - 16, 2025

Location: Embassy Suites, Cool Springs: Franklin, TN

We are excited to announce the Call for Presentation Proposals for the 68th Annual Tennessee Counseling Association (TCA) Conference, happening November 13th–16th, 2025, at the Embassy Suites in Franklin, TN.

This year’s theme, “Empower Within, Advocate Beyond,” highlights the vital work counselors do in caring for themselves while advocating for the well-being of others. We invite engaging, thoughtful, and skill-building presentations that speak to this dual mission; whether focused on clinical practice, school counseling, counselor education, supervision, advocacy, equity, or wellness.

We welcome proposals from:

  • School counselors

  • Mental health professionals

  • Counselor educators

  • Graduate students

  • Advocates and community leaders

Whether you're looking to share research, present a workshop, offer experiential learning, or lead a panel discussion, we encourage you to submit a proposal.

Submission Guidelines:

  • We are accepting proposals for 60-minute educational sessions and will have four 3-hour educational sessions (Learning Institutes).

  • Proposals are encouraged but not required to align with this year's conference theme: Empower Within, Advocate Beyond

  • There will be a separate call for Graduate Student Poster Sessions - stay tuned for more details.  

  • Proposals must be submitted online by August 15th.
