It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the President of the Tennessee Counseling Association. I am grateful for the trust that has been placed in me and excited for the opportunity to work alongside such an incredible community of counselors, counselor educators, supervisors, students, and advocates across our state.

The strength of TCA has always been its members. Every day, counselors throughout Tennessee are making meaningful differences in the lives of individuals, families, schools, and communities. It is a privilege to represent a profession that is rooted in service, advocacy, and the belief that positive change is possible.

As I begin my term, my vision for TCA centers on two guiding principles: growth and organizational sustainability. I believe these priorities go hand in hand. A sustainable organization is one that continually invests in its members, develops future leaders, and creates opportunities for engagement at every stage of a counselor's career. Likewise, meaningful growth comes not only from welcoming new members but also from strengthening the connections and resources that make TCA a valuable professional home.

This year, we will focus on initiatives that support these goals, including:

Continuing to strengthen the long term sustainability of the association through thoughtful planning and responsible stewardship.
Expanding opportunities for member engagement, leadership development, and professional collaboration.
Supporting Dr. Smith in the planning and implementation of our annual conference in November.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve. I look forward to working alongside each of you as we continue to strengthen TCA, support one another, and advance the counseling profession across Tennessee.
