Leadership Development Institute (LDI)TCA’s annual Leadership Development Institute (LDI) is a great opportunity for current leaders and anyone interested in getting involved with TCA. This year’s LDI includes two events: a CE training and a Leadership Workshop with the Governing Council Meeting. Both are open to all—no leadership role required! The 2025 Leadership Development Institute will be held in partnership with Belmont University's Mental Health Counseling Program.

She holds dual master’s degrees in Counseling Psychology and Experiential Education and is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Approved Clinical Supervisor. Known for integrating clinical insight with practical leadership, Kati has mentored and supervised clinicians at every career stage. Her work focuses on values-driven relational supervision that fosters ethical leadership, clinician resilience, and quality care. Most recently, she served as Co-founder and Chief Clinical Experience Officer of a national tech-enabled mental health company. Kati now works as an Executive Management Consultant and is based in Nashville, TN.

“The Ripple Effect: Counselors and the Power of Collective Advocacy” is a dynamic two-hour panel bringing together a diverse group of professionals dedicated to justice, equity, and systems change. This interdisciplinary panel will feature a school counselor, a licensed mental health counselor, an employment discrimination attorney, and nonprofit leaders working in refugee support, LGBTQ+ legislation, and restorative justice.
Panelists will share their unique advocacy journeys, highlighting how counselors can collaborate across sectors to challenge systemic barriers, support marginalized communities, and amplify client voices. Through real-world case examples, strategies, and lived experience, this conversation will equip attendees with practical tools and renewed inspiration for advocacy within and beyond the counseling profession.
Designed for counselors at all levels, this session emphasizes the collective power of interdisciplinary action and invites participants to reflect on their own roles in social change.
